In the new Dolce & Gabbana Restaurant, Gold as the unparalleled symbol of money and luxury is not the theme, according to their official web description gold is here to emphasize upbeat and sunny color, translating into taste for beauty and sensual pleasure. On its several levels D&G gold serves international food with a stunning range of refreshments, while the downstairs bistro opens at lunch time, upstairs the more formal restaurant serves only dinner, in your spare time you can also relax in D&G Golds Coffee Room and Cocktail Bar.

Gold Restaurant, on Via Poerio in Milan is a glitzy-ritzy restaurant with an entirely gold interior. The 202-seat boite, just behind their Metropol show space, sports a first-floor gourmet restaurant, a ground-floor casual bistro and a small food shop that carries items from Gold’s traditional Mediterranean menu. Everything, from the stairs to the luminaries gleams in sparkling yellow hue.

Dolce & Gabbana certainly know design, and their restaurant Gold in Milan is chic, elegant, fun and delicious. To dine there and say you were surprised and impressed would be an understatement. The décor is exciting and elegant without being fussy. The food is exceptional; below are a couple of selections from their menu.

Designed as a part of a posh restaurant named “Gold” and frequented by celebrities like Paris Hilton, this bathroom is made out of some of the most expensive materials money can buy. With walls lined with golden bamboo and expensive marble counters, calling Dolce & Gabbana’s Gold Room “extravagant” would be an understatement.

Gold Restaurant serves international Italian food, gold is “an upbeat, sunny color” that signifies a “taste for beauty and for sensual pleasure.” It is bright and beautiful.
